There is a roll of all members and their addresses…
The early years will give you timeframe of exportation to our country as well as the Hope Sisters Breeding that Van’t Huttenest bought and started with and was shared in the Dell Tera herds spanning out to our foundation breeding. Just a sampling of the prefixes: Afton, Annesley, Avening, Balfour, Bayside, Berry, Birling, Blenheim, Burnside, Camelot, Catchpool, Clivocast, Firth, Lakeside, lilliput, Longview, Marshwood (Mrs. M.C. Cox), Mormond, Mountross, Netherley, Parkside, Runnymede, Seva, Speyside,
Top Hill, Top Rock, Toyhorse, …..and so many many more…..but you will recognize some of these prefixes behind our old import foundation Miniatures via Mark Verhaeghe of Van’t Huttenest…..and Dell Tera and many of the other early breeders.
These are very hard to obtain volumes that connect us back to Scotland and our foundation Miniatures. I paid an old man who used to sell in the very early years the old Shetlands to our country….to obtain and search out specific volumes for me as I was working on old pedigrees trying to prove our backgrounds back in the mid eighties before we even heard much about “Pedigree”.
So…here are the years I obtained at $50.00 a volume with the older ones costing me $60. due in part to the horrendous shipping charges from Scotland…
1967, 77, 78, 81, 83, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94………12 of the Dell Tera, Kegley, Evans Brewer timeframes
1916, 17, 19, and 1958, 59, 62, 63 ..these were the really early years almost unable to find these volumes from anyone willing to give them up.
Invaluable to any serious “Shetland” Breeder or “Miniature” Breeder.
My cost for these back in the 90’s totaled around $1,020.00 not including the long distance phone calls……I am open to a “REASONABLE OFFER” and you pay for the shipping or pick up….If you have a horse being transported from our area they can probably bring these to you also….contact me at: millersequine@yahoo.com or call me at : 803-649-7909
